Arkansas State Police responded to the Mad Butcher grocery retailer at 11:38 a.m. native time on Friday. Upon arrival, officers engaged in a taking pictures with the lone suspect, authorities stated. The shooter was injured and has been taken into custody, police stated, and the suspect’s accidents aren’t thought of life-threatening.
The eight civilians who had been wounded have accidents starting from non-life-threatening to important situation, police stated.
“I’ve been briefed on the tragic taking pictures in Fordyce, and I’m in fixed contact with State Police on the scene. I’m grateful to legislation enforcement and first responders for his or her fast and heroic motion to save lots of lives. My prayers are with the victims and all these impacted by this,” Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on social media.
The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said particular brokers from the ATF’s New Orleans subject workplace are on the scene and offering help in response to the taking pictures.
The White House put out an announcement that stated, “We are grateful for the legislation enforcement officers who put themselves in hurt’s manner by participating the suspect and bringing him into custody. Federal legislation enforcement is aiding with the native investigation.”
