Alica Schmidt, the German monitor and area competitor who was dubbed the “world’s sexiest athlete,” revealed she made the Olympic group in a video on Friday.
Schmidt seemed to be overcome with feelings as she acquired the decision that she would symbolize Germany in Paris later this summer season. A TikTok video confirmed her in tears as she acquired the decision.

“When you get the decision that you just’ve made the Olympic group,” she screencapped the video.
She captioned a separate put up, “Never cease chasing your desires.”
She added a photograph of herself on Instagram with the Olympic rings behind her.
“My largest dream got here true!” she wrote.
“In only one month, I will probably be in Paris, creating recollections that can final a lifetime. This thought has been my motivation each single day for a number of years now, reminding me of why it is very important by no means hand over on my targets and to place within the work.

The 24-year-old certified for the Olympics as she competed within the blended 4×400-meter relays within the Bahamas again in May.
Schmidt is an achieved monitor athlete on the European circuit. In 2017, she helped the German group to a silver medal within the 4×400 relay on the 2017 European Athletics U20 Championships. Schmidt and her teammates received a bronze medal on the 2019 European Athletics U23 Championships.

The group would end in sixth place within the 2022 European Championships. She and her group additionally did not qualify on the World Athletics Championships in Oregon.
She mentioned in 2021 that she was “taking a break” from the game after failing to medal on the Tokyo Olympics.
