There’s never been a better time to buy a PS5 in the UK, with prices as low as they’ve ever been, and an abundance of stock that inspires a feeling greater than the blissful ping of a Platinum Trophy. Not only that but there’s finally a slew of incredible games to play on the latest Sony console as well, with the most recent releases including Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Stellar Blade, and Helldivers 2.
But, back to the PS5 Slim, which is currently down to just £394.95 for the disc edition, and £349 for those interested in the all-digital model. The PS5 Slim disc model is down from its RRP of £479.99, so this is a tremendous saving and one of the best deals we’ve ever seen for the console. This deal is exclusively for Amazon Prime Members during the Days of Play sale, but there’s a 30-day free sign up if you’re increasingly keen to take advantage of the deal ASAP.
It’s not just a sleeker design though, it’s got super quick loading speeds and stunning 4K resolution. Just remember to insert the magic code at checkout, or you’ll miss out on these savings. The PlayStation 5 Slim is essentially a more compact version of the original PlayStation 5. It brings a sleeker design to Sony’s next-gen gaming experience. While maintaining the high performance and features of the original PS5, the Slim version addresses the bulkiness that was a notable aspect of its predecessor.
It continues to offer super-fast loading times and the ability to play games in stunning 4K resolution, ensuring that the gaming experience remains top-notch. The PS5 Slim comes in two versions: one with a disc drive and one as a digital-only console, catering to different preferences of gamers. The digital-only version is even more space-efficient, eliminating the disc drive for a more streamlined look.

How to Watch the Sony State of Play
Here’s a list of places you can watch the event:
What to Expect From the Sony State of Play
A new Astro Bot game leaked on Friday and is expected to be part of the showcase. Other possible announcements include God of War Ragnarok on PC, Silent Hill 2, and the long-rumored PS5 Pro.
PlayStation has plenty of question marks around its release schedule as it continues through the latter half of 2024 and beyond. It recently appointed two new CEOs, Hermen Hulst and Hideaki Nishino, who will seek to continue Sony’s momentum in the post-Jim Ryan era. The State of Play should answer at least a few questions about PlayStation’s strategy going forward.
You can watch the State of Play on PlayStation’s channels, including YouTube and Twitch. Afterward, tune in to Beyond for all of our reactions as well as a recap of everything announced. And of course, look forward to IGN Live, which runs from June 7 to June 9 in Los Angeles.
