Alex Bowman rode to Victory Lane on Sunday on the Chicago Street Course, choosing up the eighth win of his NASCAR Cup Series profession and placing him in a great spot to make the playoffs.
His journey to the winner’s circle was a bit bumpy as he confronted a retaliatory push into the wall from Bubba Wallace. Bowman spun out Wallace on Lap 25, costing the No. 23 driver monitor place and a possible shot at profitable the race. Wallace completed thirteenth.

Bowman stated afterward he was “embarrassed” by the spin and tried to succeed in Wallace after the race, in line with NBC Sports.
“We’ve raced one another tremendous honest and tremendous clear,” Bowman stated, by way of FOX Sports. “I simply tousled and ruined his day and I hate that.”
On Wallace’s bump, Bowman stated there shouldn’t be a penalty for it.

He is fifteenth within the drivers’ standings.
