Indian Super League membership East Bengal has been drawn in Group A of the AFC Challenge League alongside Nejmeh SC (Lebanon), Bashundhara Kings (Bangladesh) and Paro FC (Bhutan). The Group A encounters will occur on the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu. The Red and Gold Brigade made it to the competitors because of its title conquest on the Kalinga Super Cup this 12 months. Earlier this month, East Bengal performed the qualifying matches for the AFC Champions League Two, struggling a 0-2 defeat in opposition to Altyn Asyr FC (Turkmenistan), relegating it to the AFC Challenge League.

Eight groups will progress from the group stage – the three group winners, together with the best-ranked runner-up from the West and the highest two finishers from the 2 teams within the East.
The double-legged quarter-finals will occur between March 5-13, adopted by the semi-finals from April 9-17 whereas the ultimate takes place on May 10.
