Hubble Telescope Captures Image of Merging Galaxies in Coma Cluster, 390 Million Light-Years Away

A charming picture of two interacting galaxies, generally known as MCG+05-31-045, has been shared by NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA) by way of the Hubble Space Telescope. It is situated 390 million light-years away within the Coma Cluster. The smaller galaxy’s spiral arms seem to merge with the bigger one, with a tail of fabric and a halo connecting the 2, suggesting an ongoing collision that might finally rework their construction solely.

The Coma Cluster: A Rich Galactic Collection

The Coma Cluster, house to this galactic interplay, is a dense assortment of over a thousand recognized galaxies. While most are elliptical in form, these varieties are sometimes created by gravitational interactions resembling collisions.
