IISc Launches Pravriddhi Product Accelerator Programme to Develop Innovative Solutions

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), by means of its Foundation for Science, Innovation, and Development (FSID), has launched a brand new initiative known as Pravriddhi. Announced final week, this programme goals to bridge the hole between academia, industries, and analysis establishments throughout India to foster innovation in manufacturing. Pravriddhi is designed to advance India’s self-reliance in manufacturing by selling collaborative analysis and growth (R&D) and enhancing international competitiveness.

Professor Govindan Rangarajan, Director of IISc, advised the publication that this initiative aligns with the Viksit Bharat 2047 imaginative and prescient, which targets India’s GDP to succeed in $30 trillion by 2047. Of this, 25 p.c is anticipated to stem from manufacturing. He highlighted that challenges similar to reliance on imports, international competitors, and a scarcity of expert professionals are important obstacles to the manufacturing sector’s development.

Hubs of Excellence Across India

A key side of Pravriddhi is the institution of specialized hubs throughout the nation. These hubs will concentrate on technological developments and facilitate R&D collaborations in numerous domains. Professor Rangarajan famous that these centres will act as drivers of progress, combining experience from main establishments and industries.
