“To me, there isn’t a larger pleasure than to really feel the heat of my fists drenched in blood.”
Those fiendish phrases are spoken by the brutal supervillain Conquest – voiced by The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan – in IGN’s unique clip from the Season 3 finale of Invincible, which streams on Prime Video this Thursday, March 13.
The clip – which you’ll be able to watch through the participant beneath – is from one of many largest and bloodiest battles within the adult-animated superhero collection.
The battle-scarred Conquest first appeared in final week’s penultimate episode, which noticed the alternate universe Invincibles invade Earth. He’s the particularly highly effective enforcer the Viltrum Empire sends to make protagonist Mark Grayson (voiced by Steven Yeun) full his mission of prepping Earth for takeover.
As we defined in our preview of Invincible, Season 3, “Conquest seems within the aftermath of a very devastating battle on Earth, bringing with him an ultimatum from the Viltrumite Empire. Either Invincible carries out his responsibility and conquers his homeworld within the title of the empire, or Conquest will kill him and end the job himself. Thus begins probably the most violent and determined battle of Mark Grayson’s life (to date).”
Our unique clip illustrates the purpose that IGN’s Jesse Schedeen made in his Season 3 preview that “Mark continues to be too younger and inexperienced to actually maintain his personal in opposition to veteran Viltrumite troopers. But one way or the other he’ll need to discover a manner, as a result of the choice means his personal demise and the enslavement of his world.”
The Conquest storyline units up the endgame for the general Viltrumite battle, which ought to be lined in Invincible’s fourth season. You can make amends for all of our Invincible, Season 3 opinions right here.
