Lionel Messi in tears as he leaves Copa América closing with damage

Lionel Messi left the Copa América closing between Argentina and Colombia on Sunday night time with an obvious ankle damage.

The FOX Sports broadcast confirmed Messi in tears on the sidelines as he sat on the bench to look at his workforce for the ultimate half-hour or so. It was a heartbreaking finish for Messi as he helped lead the workforce again to the ultimate to defend their title.

Messi was initially injured within the first half when he went down close to the top line after his foot was by accident stepped on. He was down for a number of minutes earlier than strolling up the sideline and deciding to play the remainder of the half. He appeared as if he was able to compete for the remainder of the sport as he was seen making strikes with the ball.

In the second half, Messi went down once more and this time for good.

He was seen strolling off of the sphere together with his cleat in his hand and his foot wrapped in ice.
