Mets’ Brandon Nimmo misses recreation after fainting, hitting head inside resort rest room

After waking up confused inside a resort rest room early Monday morning, outfielder Brandon Nimmo sat out the New York Mets’ recreation at Nationals Park later that night.

Nimmo fainted within the room and hit his head as he fell to the ground. 

First-year Mets supervisor Carlos Mendoza stated Nimmo reduce his brow however confirmed the outfielder averted a concussion.

“He went via all of the exams this morning,” Mendoza stated. “Wanted to ensure we weren’t lacking something. Luckily, all the things got here again destructive. So, I believe we received fortunate there.”

Nimmo recalled waking up shortly after 5 a.m. as a result of he was not feeling effectively. At some level after he made his option to the toilet, he cramped up and fainted.

When he got here to and received up from the ground, he was bleeding from the top and wasn’t positive why. He referred to as the Mets’ trainers, who went to his room to help him.

Nimmo was then taken to a hospital, the place he underwent testing. He arrived on the ballpark later Monday afternoon with a bandage on his brow. He informed reporters the bandage was a precaution.

“He’s received a fairly large reduce,” Mendoza stated.

Jeff McNeil changed Nimmo in left subject Monday. Nimmo returned to the Mets’ lineup Tuesday evening and completed the sport with two hits.

Nimmo is in his ninth season with the Mets. The 31-year-old is hitting .247 with 13 homers, a team-high 52 RBIs and an .824 OPS in 78 video games this season.
