Lucknow, town of Nawabs, is gearing as much as hosts conventional rivals Mohun Bagan and East Bengal for the primary time on September 2 as a part of plans to advertise soccer in Uttar Pradesh. The derby can be performed at state capital’s K.D. Singh Babu Stadium. State Sports Director R.P. Singh instructed PTI that preparations are on full swing for the high-voltage match that can be performed underneath floodlights. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath can be anticipated to observe the proceedings and about 10,000 spectators are anticipated to throng the stadium.
As a part of the preparations, the testing of the recently-installed flood lights within the stadium has began and dressing rooms and different services are being organized for the gamers.
Singh mentioned that All India Football Federation (AIFF) President Kalyan Chaubey had met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow not too long ago and expressed the necessity to promote soccer in Uttar Pradesh.
It was throughout that point, that he had proposed to organise the derby and the state authorities accepted the proposal.
Both the groups will attain Lucknow on September 1.
