If you’re trying to improve quick in Black Ops 6, Activision is giving out double XP this weekend with the return of a fan favourite map.
After the disappointment of Modern Warfare 3, Call Of Duty seems to have found its stride again with Black Ops 6.
Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, the latest game in the first person shooter series introduces omnimovement mechanics and a 1990s setting, complete with the return of the classic prestige levelling system.
The mix of old and new has gone down well with critics and fans alike, with Black Ops 6 becoming the fastest selling Call Of Duty ever, since it launched on October 25.
As usual with Call Of Duty, the launch of a new game is only the beginning, with the game’s first post-launch map set to be added on Friday, November 1.
When is Nuketown being released in Black Ops 6?
A remastered version of Nuketown, the classic multiplayer map from the original Call Of Duty: Black Ops, will debut in Black Ops 6 from Friday, November 1 at 5pm GMT in the UK. This translates to 10am PT in the US.
The map will be available through Nuketown 24/7 in Featured Playlists and Hardcore Nuketown 24/7 in the Hardcore tab. The modes available are Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Kill Confirmed.
When does the Black Ops 6 double XP weekend start and end?
The launch of Nuketown coincides with a double XP weekend across Black Ops 6 multiplayer and Zombies. This includes double account XP to boost your overall level, double weapon XP for upgrades, and double Gobblegum earn rate for Zombies, which are consumable items for special bonuses to make easy work of the undead hordes.
The double XP weekend kicks off on Friday, November 1 at 5pm GMT in the UK (10am PT in the US), and runs until Monday, November 4. While it’s unclear exactly what time it will end, it will likely be in the late afternoon, based on previous events.
Essentially, you have four days to capitalise on the accelerated XP rollout, and with a map as chaotic as Nuketown thrown into the mix, it looks set to be a mad scramble for rewards.
Nuketown arrives in Black Ops 6 ahead of the game’s first season on November 14, which will include new maps and modes across multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.
