Search underway for inmate suspected of tried homicide who escaped jail in San Bernardino County

Authorities are looking for an tried homicide suspect who fled from a San Bernardino County jail on Sunday. 

Deshaun Stamps, 29, has been in custody since Jan. 30, 2023 for tried homicide, in keeping with San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officers. 

At round 12:20 p.m. on Sunday, deputies found that Stamps had escaped custody on the West Valley Detention Center throughout an “exterior recreation interval,” in keeping with an announcement from the division. 

They describe Stamps as standing 5-foot-11 and weighing round 170 kilos. He is bald with inexperienced eyes and has tattoos on his neck and head. It is unclear what clothes he could possibly be sporting, deputies mentioned. 

“Do not try and make contact with Stamps,” the assertion mentioned.
