Steve Bannon stories to federal jail in Connecticut, says he is “proud” to serve his time

Washington — Trump ally Steve Bannon reported to federal jail in Danbury, Connecticut on Monday to start serving a four-month sentence for defying a subpoena from the House committee that investigated the Jan. 6, 2021 assault on the U.S. Capitol. 

Bannon arrived on the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury round midday and was formally taken into custody.

Before starting his sentence Monday, Bannon informed supporters and reporters that he’s “proud” to go to jail, blasting Attorney General Merrick Garland, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Biden. 

“I’m proud to go to jail,” Bannon informed supporters and protesters Monday earlier than reporting to jail. “If that is what it takes to face as much as tyranny. If that is what it takes to face as much as the Garland corrupt, legal DOJ, if that is what it takes to face as much as Nancy Pelosi, if that is what it takes to face as much as Joe Biden, to Joe Biden, I’m proud to do it.”
