Video games might be expensive but the one benefit is that there’s always lots of sales, with Steam, Xbox and PlayStation all offering huge discounts on a frequent basis throughout the year.
Amazon Prime Day is another chance to snatch up games on the cheap, and next week’s event is offering three different games to play for free, for 48 hours.
This will give you the chance to try this year’s Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, which launched to mixed reviews, Chivalry 2, and 2015’s highly acclaimed Rise Of The Tomb Rider for free.
Prime Day actually spans two days, from Tuesday, July 16 to Wednesday July 17, and it’s during these two days that you can play the three games for free.
Only Amazon Prime members are eligible though, which costs £8.99 a month to become a subscriber.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, Chivalry 2, and Rise Of The Tomb Rider will be free to play starting at 8am UK time, on July 16, and available from then for 48 hours.
The offer is an addition to Amazon’s existing games service, called Prime Gaming, which comes with a monthly Twitch (which Amazon owns) channel subscription and a collection of free games that members can download and keep forever.
Currently, those free games are:
- Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic 2 – The Sith Lords
- Alex Kidd In Miracle World DX
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge
- Samurai Bringer
- Deceive Inc.
- Tearstone: Thieves Of The Heart
- The Invisible Hand
- Forager
- Card Shark
- Heaven Dust 2
- Soulstice
- Wall World
- Hitman Absolution
- Call Of Juarez
- Call Of Juarez: Bound In Blood
It’s important to note that all of these games are available across different storefronts, including the Amazon Games App, GOG, Epic Games Store, and Legacy Games Code.
