Former NFL large receiver and kick return specialist Jacoby Jones has died. He was 40.

The Baltimore Sun reported Jones passing on Sunday, citing an NFL supply with direct information of the state of affairs. 

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh paid tribute to Jones saying, “Jacoby had the distinctive potential to attach with everybody he encountered. His charisma, pleasure and love created a one-of-a-kind presence that would gentle up any room or brighten any darkish day.”

Jones spent his remaining three NFL seasons with the Ravens. In addition to his charisma, Jones will even be remembered for his heroics in Super Bowl XLVII.

In a press release obtained by the NFLPA, the Jones household stated the previous soccer standout handed away at his residence in New Orleans.

“The household, together with his mom, Emily and his son, Little Jacoby, are collectively and are asking to your prayers, privateness, and assist as they navigate by means of this troublesome time,” a press release learn.

The Houston Texans drafted Jones within the third spherical in 2007. Aside from the Texans and Ravens, Jones had stints with the Steelers and Chargers organizations.
