Every Swift album comes with its personal colours and iconography and Reputation, first launched in 2017, was characterised by a black wardrobe and snake imagery—then a not-so-veiled reference to her feud with Kim Kardashian.

Swifites have been anxiously awaiting the discharge of Reputation (Taylor’s Version) for literal years now. In the interim, they have been analyzing each transfer their idol makes for indicators that the album rerelease is on its manner. And the theories have been ramping up in latest months. In July 2024, followers seen that the black-and-gold costume Swift wore for an Eras Tour present in Milan was very Reputation-coded. Then, in September, Swifties noticed Easter eggs in Swift’s snakeskin boots, allure necklace, and plaid skirts. In October 2024, Swifties have been at it once more, studying hints into Swift’s option to movie her “End Game” music video in Miami, and in one other gold-and-black Eras Tour ‘match, this time a bodysuit with a snake motif element.
Basically, to say that followers are getting antsy for Taylor Swift to launch Reputation (Taylor’s Version) is an understatement. Many followers have been anticipating Swift to announce a launch date on the 2025 Grammys (maybe partially as a result of 2025 is the Year of the Snake within the Chinese zodiac, per Marie Claire), which she did not, sending Swifties right into a tailspin. Even Millie Bobby Brown, in a joke interview with her 2024 self, talked about the long-wait. “[Swift] has not given us Reputation but,” the Stranger Things actor knowledgeable her barely youthful self, caveating, “But you realize what? She’s busy.”
But, come on. The snake necklace cannot be a coincidence, can it?
