Sony has discounted over 4,500 video games on the PlayStation Store, together with Red Dead Redemption 2 and Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
With the release calendar in the summer drought phase, there’s never been a better time to pick up a bargain on a game you may have missed.
If you haven’t managed to find anything on Amazon Prime Day, Sony has launched its annual Summer Sale on the PlayStation Store (July 17), which has reduced prices on 4,520 items in the UK and 4,770 items in the US.
As for the best discounts, Elden Ring has been reduced by 30% to £34.99. FromSoftware games often maintain their value even years after release, so if you haven’t picked it up already, this might be the best time to do so.
Hogwarts Legacy on PlayStation 5 has also dropped 60% to £25.99, which might be the biggest digital price cut since it launched last year. The PlayStation 4 version is also only £23.99.
If you have money to burn on one of the worst Call Of Duty games in recent memory, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been knocked down to £38.49. Or there’s fellow disappointment Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, which is now only £20.99.
Street Fighter 6 – one of the best fighting games around – is only £23.09 on PlayStation 5, while former Xbox exclusive Sea Of Thieves has been reduced to £27.99. You can check out more notable discounts below.
The PlayStation Summer Sale runs until 11.59pm local time on August 14. Some games might be removed from the promotion early though, so it’s worth checking the PlayStation Store listing for specific end dates.
While there are some decent discounts in the PlayStation sale, it’s also worth checking other retailers like Amazon and Currys as they occasionally have cheaper physical versions.
As for future PlayStation games, Astro Bot is the next major PlayStation 5 exclusive which is set to come out on September 6.
