Helldivers 2’s leaked Killzone crossover is actual, and developer Arrowhead has launched it. But be warned: these cosmetics are solely out there for 5 days.
Hot on the heels of the Omens of Tyranny replace, which added the Illuminate faction, Helldivers 2 has its first official crossover. Part one of many Helldivers 2 x Killzone crossover is out now, and features a Killzone-themed armor set, assault rifle, banner, cape, and participant title. Part two hits Helldivers 2’s retailer on December 23, Arrowhead stated.

The developer added that it plans to supply gamers “one thing distinct and particular” with the content material, and teased a further Killzone 2 reward for all gamers relying on their success within the Galactic War.
Meanwhile, Arrowhead outlined plans to enhance the way in which Helldivers 2’s in-game retailer works. “Right now, a lot of you are feeling the gadgets are in rotation for too brief a time, and that you just typically miss out on that killer look you had your eyes on,” Arrowhead stated. “At the identical time, the extra issues we add to the shop the longer it takes to return again into rotation.
“As we’re not fairly able to roll out a full redesign, we’re going to briefly take a look at longer rotations with Killzone, which can stick round for 5 days per web page as an alternative (there shall be two pages of things to discover).
“After this, the web page rotation will return to its normal cadence and we shall be asking on your suggestions on our take a look at. If you assume that is too brief, otherwise you need us to look into bringing gadgets again for longer intervals, we’ll ask once more in future surveys.”
Last month, Arrowhead CCO and Helldivers 2 inventive director Johan Pilestedt cautioned towards doing too many crossovers, saying “it could dilute the IP and make it a ‘not Helldivers’ expertise.” In its weblog put up, Arrowhead reiterated the purpose, insisting Killzone makes “good sense for the sport.”
This crossover already has followers questioning if Sony might lastly be able to return to the Killzone franchise with a model new launch. Original developer Guerrilla Games has its arms full with the Horizon Online venture and the inevitable Horizon 3, so any new sport would in all probability have to return from one other developer.
