Netflix has released a new short clip from Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, which includes a snippet of Marvel star Hayley Atwell voicing the titular heroine.
The streamer took to X/Twitter to share a sizzle reel of the animated titles coming to the platform in 2024 and beyond, including a brief look at Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. The sneak peek comes at the 0:41 mark in the video and gives viewers a first listen of Atwell’s vocal talents alongside Earl Baylon as Jonah.

“History doesn’t always tell us the whole truth,” Atwell’s Lara Croft says before she leaps into action. “Be careful,” Baylon yells, to which she replies: “I’m always careful.”
Atwell, known for her role as Peggy Carter in the MCU, joined the cast of Netflix’s Tomb Raider anime in September 2021. There have been a couple of first-look teasers and trailers since her casting was announced, but this is the first time people are getting to hear her voice the fierce archaeologist-adventurer.
Fans were impressed with what they heard and took to X/Twitter to share their approval. “Hayley Atwell’s voice as Lara Croft is perfect!!!!!” one person wrote with a heart-eyes emoji. “OMGYassss Hayley Atwell’s voice is perfect! She has the attitude down. Oh please let the storyline be good,” another added in response to the clip.
A third person excitedly wrote: “HER VOICE!!!!!!! THE DELIVERY!!! THE CONFIDENCE!!!! YESYES YES!!!!!!!!!! Hayley Atwell is coming for our necks as Lara.”
Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft makes its Netflix debut on October 10, telling a story that unravels after the events of Shadow of the Tomb Raider. This time, Lara’s perilous adventures will take her across the world in search of a dangerous and powerful Chinese artifact that once resided in Croft Manor.
In the meantime, people might want to watch Terminator Zero, which hits the streamer in August, or any of the other anime series currently available on Netflix.
