It was just a few weeks in the past when Scottie Scheffler was arrested earlier than the second spherical of the PGA Championship. He may’ve picked up the most important victory if his feathers weren’t rattled.
On Sunday, he was again to kind and held off Collin Morikawa to win the Memorial Tournament.

Scheffler had constructed a four-stroke lead heading into the ultimate spherical. But he was 2-over par within the ultimate spherical. He had three bogeys and just one birdie to complete with a 74.
Morikawa shot a 71 as his three birdies on the entrance 9 allowed him to get again into the event. He had a birdie on gap 12 and inched very near Scheffler’s lead. But a bogey and two pars on the ultimate three holes saved him at a distance.
Adam Hadwin and Christiaan Bezuidenhout completed third and fourth, respectively. Matt Fitzpatrick, Ludvig Aberg and Sepp Straka have been all tied for fifth.

It was Scheffler’s eleventh PGA Tour victory and his fifth general victory because the calendar turned from 2023 to 2024. He received the Masters again in April.
The 27-year-old noticed his costs in Louisville, Kentucky, dropped after what he persistently described as a “massive misunderstanding.”
Scheffler spoke with reporters for the primary time because the costs have been dropped at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, forward of the Memorial Tournament this week, and he feels now’s the “extra applicable” time to talk about it.
“To be sincere with you, it’s not one thing I really like reliving simply because it was pretty traumatic for me being arrested going into the golf course,” Scheffler advised reporters, per ESPN.
