Shudder revealed the title, launch date, and lineup of writers and administrators for the seventh V/H/S installment immediately, and it managed to nab a contemporary horror maestro for one among its segments.
The newest within the horror anthology sequence will probably be titled V/H/S Beyond, and it will premiere on Shudder on October 4. The streaming service introduced that Beyond will function six tapes that place “horror on the forefront of a sci-fi-inspired hellscape.”
Among the writers and administrators of these six tapes are Mike Flanagan and Kate Siegel, names acquainted to those that sustain with the horror panorama. Flanagan is the filmmaker behind motion pictures like Doctor Sleep, Gerald’s Game, and an upcoming The Exorcist movie, in addition to Netflix horror sequence together with The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass, and The Fall of the House of Usher. Siegel, in the meantime, is Flanagan’s partner and frequent artistic collaborator, having starred in all of the aforementioned Netflix sequence in addition to movies like Hush and Oculus.
They’re teaming up for a segement referred to as Stowaway, which Siegel directed and Flanagan wrote. Among the opposite creatives is Justin Long, who’s well-known within the horror sphere for his work in entrance of the digital camera (Barbarian, Drag Me to Hell, Jeepers Creepers). He co-wrote and directed a phase along with his brother, Christian Long, titled Fur Babies.

The most up-to-date V/H/S installment, V/H/S/85, debuted final October, which Shudder referred to as “the most-watched unique movie premiere of the yr for Shudder and AMC+.” IGN gave that installment a 7/10, writing, “If you’re a V/H/S fan, V/H/S85 gained’t be the entry that sours your tune – and boasts a gradual sufficient consistency to win over doubters, too.”
